As part of the investigation, Bedfordshire Police released closed-circuit television (CCTV) images of Tshuma in an effort to help locate him. The images formed part of the international appeal issued after he was believed to have left the United Kingdom.
South African police confirmed that Tshuma was arrested in Gauteng. Authorities have not released details about the circumstances surrounding the arrest or whether the suspect resisted arrest.
The arrest marks a significant development in the cross-border investigation involving law enforcement agencies in the United Kingdom and South Africa. Officials have not yet provided information on any extradition process or future legal proceedings.
Authorities have also not disclosed further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Nothabo Zandile Tshuma and her two daughters. Investigations into the case remain ongoing under the leadership of Bedfordshire Police.
