South African activist Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma has appealed for public support ahead of her Durban court appearance after the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) launched legal proceedings linked to the activities of her anti-illegal immigration movement, March and March.
Ngobese-Zuma, founder of the March and March movement, shared a video on social media describing the legal action as unlawful and accusing the commission of failing to protect South Africans from undocumented migrants. She called on supporters to attend the Durban court proceedings.

The SAHRC previously confirmed that legal proceedings were instituted against March and March, Operation Dudula and other groups over allegations involving the blocking of foreign nationals and undocumented migrants from accessing public healthcare facilities in Durban.
The March and March movement has gained attention across South Africa through protests calling for stricter immigration enforcement and mass deportations of undocumented migrants.
