Belgian winger Jeremy Doku has signed a new five-year contract with Manchester City, extending his stay at the club until the summer of 2031 as the squad prepares for the 2026/27 season.
The 24-year-old has become the fourth Manchester City first-team player to agree fresh terms with the club this summer, following Phil Foden, Josko Gvardiol and Abdukodir Khusanov.
Doku joined City from French club Stade Rennais in 2023 and has since established himself as an important attacking option. Manchester City said he has made 131 appearances for the club and scored 22 goals.

The new contract provides long-term security for both the player and the club as Manchester City enters a new period under manager Enzo Maresca.
Doku said he was excited about the new season and the opportunity to work with the new manager. He has also pointed to Maresca’s style of football as a reason for his enthusiasm about the campaign ahead.
“I’m excited for this new group as well, new players, I’m excited to work with them, to meet with them, and to train and play with them,” Doku said.
The winger returned to Manchester after an extended break following his involvement with Belgium at the 2026 World Cup. Manchester City said Doku took a month to rest and recover before returning to prepare for the new campaign.
His return comes as Maresca puts together a new-look Manchester City squad. The club has brought in new players including Elliot Anderson, Jeremy Monga and Argentine goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli, while several existing players have also committed their futures to the club.
Rulli joined Manchester City from Marseille on a two-year contract and is expected to provide experienced goalkeeping cover behind Gianluigi Donnarumma. His arrival followed the departure of James Trafford to Leeds United.
Doku’s extension is also part of a wider effort to secure key players for the future. Foden, Gvardiol and Khusanov have all signed new deals, giving Maresca a group of established players around which to develop his team.
Since arriving at Manchester City, Doku has won several trophies with the club. Manchester City’s official website says the Belgian has helped the team win five trophies during his time at the Etihad.

The new manager has already shown an interest in a more direct approach from his wingers during pre-season, and Doku is expected to have an opportunity to contribute to that style.
